Laboratory Rota

For each lesson which involves practical work, each student works with a different student. For example in lesson 1 Adam (A) works with student R (Tim) the next lesson Adam will work with Peter (Q)

By having this system:

a) all the students really get to know each other.
b) the weaker students do migrate together and the more able do not migrate together. This can cause a polarisation of the work where the weaker students are happy with mediocre work while the stronger students continue to excel. If the weaker students can see the standard of work being achieved by others then hopefully they will try to improve their own work.
