Adam Lawton
Adam from Huddersfield Grammar School is planning to make his fortune by going on to Leeds University to do Accounting and Finance.
Adam says “ I found the videos very useful when I applied them to exam questions and exercises in class. The revision questions on the business studies website on the intranet are also very useful when preparing for exams.”
Andrew Walsh
Andrew from Holmfirth School is going to Northumbria University to do Corporate Management. He is one of only 20 students nationally selected to go on this course for high flyers!
Andrew says "I find Business Studies useful, interesting and relevant. I enjoy finding out about the business world".
Nadeya Ijaz
Nadeya from Salendine Nook High School plans to stay in Huddersfield to read accounting and management at the University.
Nadeya says "Business Studies is an interesting course with a variety of modules informing you of the business world". She adds "Greenhead College has a friendly atmosphere with guidance from all the teachers".
Carolyn Limbert
Another highly successful woman - Carolyn from Wakefield Girls High - head hunted by Northumbria University to go on their Corporate Management course for high flyers!
Carolyn says "Business Studies gave me a useful insight into businesses allowing me to find a university of my choice. I most enjoyed the coursework".
Matthew Heeley
Matthew from Newsome High School is going on to Manchester University to read International Business, Finance and Economics.
Matt says “Business Studies is a subject I can adapt to future working environments, it has always interested me and is a subject I feel naturally comes to me". It is also known as the 'Get rich quick scheme!' Greenhead College is not only a top college in this area but in the whole country and the facilities, not only with the new business rooms, are top notch”.
Matthew Swierzynski
Matthew from Honley High School is Huddersfield based reading Business Studies at the university so Matt can keep in touch with Greenhead.
Matt says "The help provided by the staff was extremely beneficial. I was able to go along to the business studies staff room whenever I needed help. All the teachers, not just my own provided help and information".
Matt most liked the resources available to support his studies - the computer room, the intranet and the library. He found them very helpful when it came to coursework, homework and revision.
Sumit Buttoo
Sumit Buttoo from Salendine Nook High School is off to the big city to read Finance and Accounting at the London School of Economics.
Sumit Says "I enjoyed Business Studies as it gives a good insight into how real firms survive and make decisions, helping you to understand and even suggest new ideas implemented by managers in your part time job". He adds "Enjoy Greenhead College for the massive amount of friends you make over the two years. Enrichment is a superb idea to help with this....take full advantage of it! The teachers are pretty good too!!"
Tony Gray
Tony Gray from Newsome High School is on his way to Birmingham University to read Sport and Exercise Science.
Tony says "I found that the coursework helped me to understand the course a lot better as it enabled me to do my own private research and to apply my knowledge of marketing to a new product launch".
Tony found the classwork videos useful as it helped him to answer questions.
