Conferences at Greenhead College
Greenhead college has been running conferences for teachers, managers
and leaders for the last 15 years. These have ranged from student support and
value added to specific subject courses. Several conferences have been
sponsored by the DfES and the LSC. Many staff are experienced examiners
and have led conferences for the major training agencies including the
DCSF, LSC, Network Training Updates, Phillip Allan etc. Courses based here
at Greenhead give the added advantage of seeing the departments, their
staff, students & resources
in situ rather than isolated in an external venue. Our catering department provides
a scrumptious lunch that can match that provided by any hotel!
Our recent inspection report reads .....
"Some lessons are inspirational, particularly in physical sciences, visual and performing arts, humanities and modern foreign languages. In such lessons, a lively and imaginative range of activities is used to engage and challenge students and to create an atmosphere of intellectual excitement. "
The 2010 conference season
This year, following the success of previous conferences, we are continuing to hold events over two days. Grade 1 departments will share their ideas and expertise giving the opportunity to meet the staff and students, look at and discuss resources in situ and leave with a booklet of ideas and exemplar resources.
We will host 200 delegates over the two days with each day spread across the 26 subject areas, giving the advantage of small group sessions.
