Business and Economics trip to China:
14 November 2025Over half-term, our Business and Economics students embarked on an educational trip to China, visiting several businesses across Beijing, Xi’an, and Shanghai—including Yan Jing Brewery, the Volkswagen factory, and a working silk mill. Students explored key concepts from both A Levels: flow production, capital-intensive manufacturing, economic growth, enterprise culture, and marketing.
Students also visited iconic tourist attractions such as the Great Wall of China, Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Terracotta Warrior excavation site, and Beijing Zoo. Throughout the trip, they compared Chinese products and brands to those in the UK, explored differentiation in global markets, and discussed the advantages of joint ventures with European companies.
