High standards in the region – and Greenhead leads the way!

The latest Department for Education School and College Performance Tables, published in January 2020, include data showing the average A Level result achieved by students and high grades achieved in key academic subjects.

In both categories, local schools and colleges achieved some outstanding results, reflecting the high standard of post-16 provision in the region.

Greenhead College is the best-performing provider of A Levels in the local area according to these latest two measures, and the third-best designated Sixth Form College in the country.

College Principal, Simon Lett, said:

“These latest government performance tables reflect Greenhead’s status as a top-performing, academic college.  We enrol students from a very large catchment area and with a wide range of ability.  They are given access to an extensive range of support which enables them to reach impressive standards.”
