Where are you located?
We are located in the centre of Huddersfield next to Greenhead Park. Huddersfield bus and train stations are just a 5 minute walk away.
What are the entry requirements?
Greenhead College’s minimum entry requirement is grade 6 in three GCSE subjects. All students must have achieved a minimum grade 4 in both GCSE English Language and GCSE Mathematics – grade 6 and above in these subjects would also count towards the minimum College entry requirements.
Some subjects also have specific entry requirements, which you can find on the relevant course page.
What courses do you offer?
Alongside our A Level courses, the College offers a selection of vocational courses, each equivalent to one A Level. These include the Level 3 Diploma in Medical Science, the Level 3 Cambridge Technical Extended Certificate in Health and Social Care, and the BTEC in Music Performance. We do not offer Apprenticeships.
Each week, students will attend 4 lessons in each of their subject choices, as well as 1 tutorial session and an Enrichment activity of their choice. All students are expected to undertake an additional 4-5 hours of independent study per subject per week, which can be completed during the study periods on their timetable.

When are your next Open Events?
Our Open Events for 2027 entry will take place on:
- Saturday 3 October 2026 – 9:30am* – 2:30pm (last entry at 1:45pm)
- Thursday 15 October 2026 – 5:30pm – 8:30pm (last entry at 7:45pm)
*From 9:30am until 10:30am we will be providing a quiet hour for students and parents/carers to have a look around the College. This time is for those students or parents/carers who may have sensory needs and would prefer a less busy environment.
Applications for 2027 entry will open on Friday 2 October 2026.
Applications for 2027 entry will close on Monday 30 November 2026.
What financial support is available?
If your family is on a low income or you encounter any financial difficulties in special circumstances, you may be eligible for financial assistance from the Student Bursary Fund. Please visit Student Bursary for more information.
