Landscape Architecture Enrichment Project Success

Some of our students have successfully completed a six-week employer-led enrichment project exploring Landscape Architecture, delivered in partnership with the Landscape Institute and Kirklees Council.

The project was designed by Amanda Green, Landscape Architect at Kirklees Council, in collaboration with the Landscape Institute and our Head of Geography, Adele. Throughout the programme, students developed their understanding of landscape design and the role of landscape architects, culminating in a final presentation of their design ideas.

Students presented their work directly to Amanda, showcasing their creativity, research, and design thinking. The quality of the presentations was outstanding, and we are delighted to share that two students, Nina and Zuzanna, have been awarded work experience placements with Kirklees Council’s Landscape Architecture team as part of the Step Into Your Future Week this summer. This is a fantastic achievement and recognition of their hard work.

This enrichment opportunity highlights the strength of our Geography department’s commitment to providing meaningful, employer-linked experiences that inspire students and support progression into future careers.

Congratulations to all students involved for their enthusiasm and dedication – and a special well done to Nina and Zuzanna on their well-deserved success.
