Regional success for Greenhead’s football team

Greenhead College women’s football team have reached the AoC Sport National Championships for the first time in their history. 

The team pictured above have qualified for the women’s 7aside football national finals to be held at Nottingham University between 4-6 April 2025, where they will compete against the winners from all the other regions within England. The regional competition was held at The University of Hull on Thursday 14th November and was a closely fought competition throughout. Greenhead beat 13 other colleges from the Yorkshire and Humber region to clinch qualification, including Wakefield College in the quarter-final, Wyke College in the semi-final and New College Pontefract in the final. A huge congratulations to the team and we wish you the best of luck for the National finals next year!!
