Greenhead College Turing Scheme Trip to Misano, Italy

A1 students at Greenhead College with ambitions in sports coaching have recently returned from an exciting Turing Scheme trip to Misano, Italy.

As part of Step Into Your Future Week, the trip provided valuable insight into the world of sports coaching. During their time abroad, students took part in a variety of coaching activities and educational visits across the Misano region, including a memorable trip to the historic microstate of San Marino.

Participants had the opportunity to coach local junior sports teams, develop their communication skills by learning Italian, and fully immerse themselves in the local culture.

In preparation for the trip, students were encouraged to consider their environmental impact. Each student committed to making two ‘carbon promises’ to help reduce their carbon footprint and offset some of the emissions associated with air travel.

We would also like to congratulate all students who were awarded ‘Coach of the Day’ throughout the trip. A special congratulations goes to Florence, who was named ‘Coach of the Trip’ in recognition of her outstanding enthusiasm, passion, patience, and dedication.
