Greenhead College Students Achieve Outstanding 100% Pass Rate on Vocational Courses

Following the outstanding A Level results attained at Greenhead College in August 2026, we are proud to announce that students also achieved a 100% pass rate across the College’s vocational courses.

Alongside our A Level courses, the College offers a selection of vocational courses, each equivalent to one A Level. These include the Level 3 Diploma in Medical Science, the Level 3 Cambridge Technical Extended Certificate in Health and Social Care, and the BTEC in Music Performance

Vocational courses focus on practical, hands-on learning, enabling students to develop valuable skills and gain real-world experience from the very beginning of their studies. At Greenhead, students can study these subjects alongside a range of A Levels.

In addition to achieving a 100% pass rate, an impressive 95% of Health and Social Care and BTEC Music Performance students achieved a Merit, Distinction or Distinction*, while 93% of Medical Science students achieved a grade C or above

Principal Mo Bunter said:

“I am incredibly proud of our students who completed vocational courses. The results that they achieved are a true testament to their hard work, commitment and dedication whilst completing these courses. Our students performed exceptionally well across both their coursework and examined units, whilst developing industry standard knowledge and skills.”

These results follow an exceptional A Level Results Day, which saw Greenhead achieve an outstanding overall pass rate of 99.1% across all courses.

Reflecting on the success of students and staff, Mo added:

“Greenhead offers an outstanding and broad curriculum, which enables our students to choose a study programme that not only meets their individual personal needs, but also prepares them successfully for their transition to life after College, whether that is an apprenticeship, full-time employment or university.”

Greenhead is immensely proud of the dedication, resilience and hard work demonstrated by our students throughout their studies. The College also extends its thanks to staff for their unwavering support and commitment in helping students achieve their goals.

We congratulate all students on their achievements and look forward to seeing them take their exciting next steps.

Outstanding Oxbridge Success: 19 Greenhead Students Accept Oxford and Cambridge University Offers

Here at Greenhead College, we are delighted to share that 19 students have accepted offers to study at either the University of Cambridge or the University of Oxford, a true testament to the hard work, dedication and determination of both our students and staff.

Earlier this year, Greenhead celebrated another exceptional year of Oxbridge application success, with 26 students receiving offers overall. 14 students secured offers from the University of Oxford, while a further 12 students received offers from the University of Cambridge.

Principal Mo Bunter said:

“I am incredibly proud of our students securing such prestigious places. This success has been achieved through hard work, resilience and the fantastic support that they have received from highly experienced and qualified colleagues at Greenhead College. This support provides the foundations and opportunities for our students to compete strongly, in such a competitive environment.”

Here at Greenhead, we strive to ensure students are fully equipped to compete at the highest level through our dedicated Oxbridge Programme.

The programme is designed to provide tailored support, including specialist subject preparation, admissions test guidance, interview preparation and Enrichment opportunities.

It also provides students with the opportunity to visit the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge, enabling them to experience these world-renowned institutions first-hand and gain a real feel for university life.

The College’s Oxbridge Programme Lead, Richard Pember, also praised the students’ achievements:

“Once again, we are incredibly proud of so many of our students taking up places at Oxford and Cambridge Universities. Over decades, Greenhead students have built an outstanding, nationwide reputation of being able to continue their studies and flourish at the very highest level. I would like to congratulate them on behalf of all the staff at the College.

Students will be studying a wide range of courses, including Modern LanguagesPolitics and Sociology-related degrees such as Human, Social and Political Sciences, as well as Psychology-related degrees such as Experimental Psychology and Psychological and Behavioural Sciences. This highlights both the breadth of subjects pursued by our students and the strength of our academic departments.

Alongside the support and guidance provided by staff throughout their application journey, the passion, enthusiasm, and commitment the students have shown towards their chosen subjects have enabled them to stand out and achieve such outstanding success.

A huge congratulations to all of our students on this fantastic achievement. We are incredibly proud of their success and look forward to seeing where their next chapter takes them.

Computer Science Students Partner with Stone Driving School to Launch New Website

Throughout the last academic year, five of our A1 Computer Science students, who are now returning for their second year, led an exciting project to redesign and develop a new website for Stone Driving School.

Stone Driving School, the latest venture launched by a former Greenhead College colleague, was looking for a website that would better showcase its services and values. Enter our talented Computer Science students, Salik, Soumil, Rebecca, Akshar, and Kenjun, who were tasked with creating a highly interactive website that would deliver a seamless user experience across a range of devices.

Students were encouraged to think creatively and met regularly in the lead-up to Christmas, as well as in the weeks that followed, to discuss ideas, explore innovative designs, and develop layouts for the new website.

One student took the project even further. From Easter onwards, Salik became a key contributor and the lead architect during the final stages of development. Working closely with Stone Driving School, he played an integral role in refining the website and finalising many of its core features and design elements.

Stone Driving School expressed its appreciation to all of the students for the hard work, dedication, and commitment they demonstrated throughout the year. Special thanks were given to Salik for his outstanding contribution to the successful completion of the project.
